Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to the Laura’s Couture & Alterations website. When visiting our website, booking our consultation or purchasing services you agree to the terms & conditions listed below. We recommend that you read them through carefully before you go ahead.

Appointments & Consultations

Avoid conflicts of schedules. Unless specifically stated for a particular service, there is no refund for consultation fees, reservation fees or deposits.

Certain appointments may require confirmation prior to the scheduled appointment and failure to receive the confirmation may result in the cancellation of the appointment.

Alteration Timeline

We recommend starting alterations at least three to four months before your wedding date or bridal portraits. This gives us the time we need to get the fit right.

Rush service may be available depending on our schedule, and it’s subject to additional rush fees.

Pricing & Estimates

Any pricing discussed before we’ve seen the gown in person is just an estimate. The final price depends on the gown’s construction, fabric, design, current fit, and whatever modifications you’re asking for.

These alteration and customization costs become non-refundable as soon as work begins.

Payments

Payment follows the schedule agreed on for your service. Certain services may require deposits or partial payments before any work begins.

Accepted payment methods may include cash, credit card, debit card, Zelle, or other approved payment methods.

If a balance goes unpaid or arrives late, it may delay when your garment is finished or released to you.

Fittings & Garment Responsibility

Please bring everything you’ll need to your fitting, shoes, undergarments, accessories, and any other garments involved in getting the fit right.

After a garment leaves our possession, we’re no longer responsible for damage that occurs during transport, storage, wear, or handling by third parties.

Vintage & Delicate Garments

Vintage textiles, lace, beadwork, silk and tulle, as well as other aged materials, pose real dangers if altered, cleaned or restored.

Although we do take all possible precautions, we cannot guarantee that any weakening, discoloration, damage or deterioration which is a result of a garment’s age, wear or state prior to its arrival at us would not occur.

Cleaning & Preservation

We handle wedding gown cleaning and preservation with professional care, though we can’t guarantee every stain will come out, particularly older stains, oxidation, yellowing, burns, or damage from environmental exposure.

How long preservation takes depends on the gown’s condition and how much work we have at the time.

Garment Pick-Up & Storage

As soon as we let you know your garment is ready, picking it up promptly becomes your responsibility.

Garments left past the pickup window may be subject to a storage fee, and for anything left unclaimed over an extended period, we reserve the right to decline responsibility.

The branding, logos, text, images, graphics and design of this website is the property of Laura’s Couture & Alterations. It is not acceptable to use, copy or distribute any of it without our written permission.

Website Use

Submitting false information, attempting to access parts of the site you’re not authorized to reach, or interfering with how the site functions are all things we don’t allow.

At any time, and without needing to give notice beforehand, we can modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of this website.

Limitation of Liability

We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that come from your use of our website or our services.

If a claim relates to a service we provided, our total liability won’t exceed whatever you paid for that specific service.

Policy Changes

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time, and any changes take effect as soon as they’re posted here.
